African Culture Lesson Plan
After our unit on the individual, families, and communities, we will study
families and communities in other countries and continents. This will be our first week we will learn
about a different culture. Africa was chosen
to be taught first because of the stark differences of culture compared to the
United States. Also Africa is being
taught as a continent rather than focusing on one particular country.
MONDAY
TUESDAY

o
Chart with an American column and an African
column, and rows labeled “food”, “home”, “school”, “clothes”, “shoes”, “toys”,

picture belongs, what column and row.
